WOOD FOOD - MATTER SPACE STRUCTURE 2 | Dining place all in wood for 12 people in the forrest by Delsjön, Gothenburg. Exploring oak tree and its beauty in decay, celebrating cracks, ageing hues and characteristics. Inspiration was found while reading "In Praise of Shadows" by the brilliant Junichiro Tanizaki. Slow living, praising a room for its shadows rather than light and changing the perspective of the senses in experiencing architecture were some parts that truly influenced this project. Haiku poetry was another design method utilised to truly stay with the core beauty of each season of the year - from the cold of winter to the lushness of summer.
